Our Chief Data Office also known as our Enterprise Business Data Solutions team (EDS) is focused on driving innovation through optimizing how we leverage data to drive strategy and create a new business model – disrupting the insurance market. As we develop an enterprise-wide data and digital strategy that moves us toward greater focus on the use of data and data-driven insights, we are seeking a Senior Scientist for Business Intelligence. The Senior Scientist will be the technical hands on lead for various Business Intelligence team initiatives. Success in the role requires strong leadership skills to lead complex projects and establish best practices for the Business Intelligence team. This role requires a person that is able to work closely with business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions. Internalize and execute on EDS and company wide goals to become a data driven organization Understand our existing data elements’ “bits and bytes” and architecture deeply and at a granular level Learn and deliver on third party applications (e.g., MicroStrategy, Qlik, Cognos) Contribute to the development of the Business Intelligence team’s tools, skills, culture and impact Help shape and implement the development of Business Intelligence infrastructure You will report to Senior CoE Lead – Business Intelligence. Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, related technical field, or equivalent work experience 2 years of relevant work experience, particularly as, software programmer or business analyst Excellent Business Intelligence development skills, with exposure to Tableau, Microstrategy Analytics, Power BI, Qlikview, Business Objects, Cognos, SQL Server, etc. Hands on Micostrategy experience is a pre-requisite Excellent presentation, communication (oral & written), and relationship building skills, with business stakeholders Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills combined with strong business acumen Exposure to agile development environment and methodology Passion for data and experience working within a data driven organization You care about what you do, and what we do Passion and drive to change property and casualty insurance for the better
